Tasting - Baumann

Baumann
Gentil Classiq
Alsace, France
2012
$9.95

Wine review: Blend of Reising, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Gris. Light aromas of fresh fruit and delicate white flowers start your journey, followed by crisp flavors of stone and citrus fruit. A well balanced acidity on the dry finish ends this French blend beautifully.

My review: The color was clear and light. It was earthy on the nose, and very dry at the end. I was able to pick up some perfume like flavor at the end, and it was very subtle. This wine doesn't have a full body, and it was more like some flavor first and then disappears towards the end. It was crisp and smooth. It will go well with cheese or not heavy food.
