Tasting - Peter Lehmann Layers

:

Peter Lehmann Layers
Blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Tempranillo
Barossa Valley
Australia
2010
$15.59

Wine Review: This multi-dimensional wine is an exciting medium blend of four red grape varieties. The colour is vibrant cherry with a burst of red berries and spice on the nose, leading to a softly textured finish.

My review: I think this wine was blended with other dry wines, and it has more tart, dry, and oak aroma and taste. The color was darker red / purple color, and It had more close to full body, and complex taste since it was blended with other different wines. It was very earthy, oak, and dry at the end, and it was more towards full body side. It was kind of strong and hot for my taste. It will go great with red meat and grease steak and creamy pasta with Alfredo sauce.
